G orgeous day out here. 60 degrees, sunny, crisp and clean air, and two recently washed/waxed cars . Leaves me with a tough decision of what to drive while running errands.
Parked nose to tail, I feel like the XE makes the C5 look tiny (or the Jag huge) . Its weird, because driving them, you wouldn't necessarily think there's a big difference other than one of them having a back seat.

How different are their respective wheelbases?

It’s a hard-knock life :)

The Jaguar's wheelbase is about 7" longer. 111.6" to 104.5"

Yes it is, and thank you! I held out buying on e until I found it in British racing green.

Hard to go wrong either way. I used the Miata for errands yesterday and to take to work today. Since tomorrow has rain in the forecast, I’ll be back in the Lexus.

I made a similar comment on someone else’s post last week - The C5 corvette is so low, long, and sleek. It seems diminutive next to almost anything else that is modern. I was parked in traffic next to one and it was impressively small next to my A4.

Speaking of that Jag, how do you like it? I’m considering taking a 2017 XE for test drive this evening.

I love it. I’ve been really spoiled by it in terms of luxury. But it drives brilliantly. Plenty of power from the V6, yet both agile and comfy with the suspension and steering.

Fu nny enough, the last 2 seaters I had before the C5 were an S2000 and an AW11 MR2. So it still feels sizable compared to them, but tiny alongside everything else I’ve driven in recent years.

It s great to mix things up every once in a while. I don't want either of my cars to feel neglected!

I drove the car in question, which is the 4 cylinder turbo. It was still properly quick. I liked the car WAY more than I thought I was going to. Enough so that I made an offer. The steering was fantastic and turn in was way more entertaining than I was expecting. Even with nothing special all-seasons it took corners faster and better than expectations. I liked the whole driving experience. Not the sexiest Jag interior I’ve seen, but nice enough with a fantastic driving position. Pending the details, I think I bought a Jag this evening. 2017, XE 25T Premium, 52k, 1 owner with all records of all dealer maintenance , b l ack paint on a black and tan interior, $17k. It seems like a lot of interesting and not very old driving to work car for the money, and still has 8K of warranty left for me to get to know it with.

Seriously. My C4 looks so tiny when I park it next to most cars

Thats fantastic! I dro ve the 25T as well. Plenty of power, more than enough to make a commute fun. And the two-tone interior is great as well, I wouldn't mind having a splash of color in mine.
